| This necklace is elegant and
striking. Except for the beading and spacer beads, it is composed entirely
of Labradorite. Labradorite is characterized by “labradorescence”, a
luster of metallic tints, mostly blues and greens. This triangular
Labradorite cabochon, 2 in. x 1.5 in., reflects blue, green, purple and
gold luster. The seed beads framing the cabochon are iridescent blue. It
is further accented by a hanging Labradorite bead, 0.75 x 0.5 in., from
which springs a cluster of five tassels. The entire focal piece, including
tassels, hangs 4.25 inches below the necklace. Faceted Labradorite rondels,
separated by iridescent seed beads, make up the 19 in. necklace. There is
a silver push clasp. |
